KAVU Rope Sling Bag - Compact Lightweight Crossbody Purse for Women & Men - Perfect for Travel, Hiking, and Everyday Use

It's a pretty great bag for light commuting. My only complaint is that the material does feel a little flimsy. I was thinking it would have more bulk to it, some padding or other, but it says that it's waterproof so that's the hope im gonna cling to.I love this bag for so many different reasons. The colors are bright and beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments just walking around with it at my son's games. Even my husband (who never says anything about fashion) loves this bag.Bought it for a gift for someoneColorful..lightweight...hold a lot...great fabricThis is one of the coolest looking bags I’ve ever seen and used.I originally bought it for hiking my local nature trail but find myself using it all the time.I toss my phone, keys and wallet in the outside pockets and then pack a couple of bottles of water in the inside. So far I’ve managed to stow away 4 bottles water at one time in the left zippered pocket and snacks in the right zippered pocket.Besides it’s exceptional utility and use it looks down right cool when putting it to use over your shoulder and walking your favorite trail.I love this bag. It's not perfect. But the important parts are 1. It's cute. 2. I can do anything I want with my free hands. Free solo rock climbing, sword fighting, superhero vigilante-ing, unicycling while juggling, None of those things! But the point is I COULD because of this bag. And who knows? I might now that I'm not encumbered with a regular purse designed by the patriarchy to keep women from fighting crime and unicycling. But seriously I have kids and one is a toddler. I need three hands, really. There's a lot to love and some thing I would change if I had a hand in designing it, but overall it's a keeper.Pros:1.LOOK at all the useless crap I can fit in this bag. And I never have trouble finding any of it, because it's packed flat, so nothing falls to the bottom. Even with all this stuff in here I could have probably added a hoodie an still had room. It's Like I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!2. Hands-free as stated3. It's bottom heavy so I can bend over without it falling down and smacking me in the back of my head.4. It zips easily no matter how full I stuff it. And it opens almost completely so I can access larger items easily too.5. The print on this bag might as well have been designed for me. And there are only 60,000 designs to choose from, so every person can have the most perfect bag for them.Cons:1. There is no water bottle holder, and if I had gone with the Paxton rope bag, the placement of the water bottle holder would be at the bottom and upside down when you swing it around to the front. Sure, I don't always have a water bottle with me, but when I do, I'd like a place to put it so I can remain hands free, preferably not in the bag with stuff I don't want to spill my water all over. At that point, a water bottle holder does become imperative. All bags should have them.2. The rope is not rough, per sé, but it's not soft. After several hours in the hot sun over the course of a few days, on bare skin, my shoulder has been getting a bit of a rope burn feel to it. I'll be getting a shoulder pad for it.3. The placement of the bulky center pockets means when I swing it around to the front to access my useless junk, the secondary pocket is blocked from view. I have gotten pretty good at finding whatever I need by feeling for it, and like I said, everything remains exactly where I left it. There's a learning curve for finding my stuff, but there didn't need to be in the first place.4. There's no grab handle. Makes it hard to hang it up at home or grab it from the back or the passenger seat of the car. Yeah I just hang it and grab it by the strap, but trust me, it's just not as functional a it could be.Love the adjuster for the strap. Tall people, it will work for you too. Pattern is on point. Great little work by to toss everything plus the kitchen sink in, and put my wristlet clutch in when I want to take it out to use for something that looks more refined and classy.I've been using this as w purse for about a week now. I wasn't sure about it in the beginning as it didn't have as many pockets as my previous purse did, but it's still quite easy for me to find my stuff. I've also forgotten to zip a side pocket back up and none of my stuff fell out which is nice.I bought this "regular" size and the mini for a comparison and the description stated that the pockets were the same size even though it was a smaller bag. I took it to mean the outside pockets as I wanted to put my phone in the outside bottom zipper pocket. I have a rather large Samsung Galaxy A51 that is in an OtterBox Defender case which protects it but adds to the bulk. Anyway, my phone fits perfectly in the pocket of the big "regular" one but was way to big for the mini's pocket.I was afraid it would be huge and yes it's bigger than the mini, but it's not terribly huge at least for me. I equate the size of the mini to a small crossbody purse that's like two inches wide and barely fits my wallet in it, and this one is similar to my small/medium size purse if that makes sense. It fits everything with room for more if needed. I also like the fact that it's on my back instead of my side. Kind of gets it out of the way so I can hold my kids hands or whatever is needed.Also, straps are adjustable which is awesome and then it has this cool elastic strap to hold the extra strap rolled up. It has come undone a few times but overall I like having it on there and it looks better than anything I'd be able to do to keep the extra strap out of the way.I wish it had a few small pockets on the inside and a little hook for my keys so they don't get lost in the abyss, but since it's not technically made to be a purse I get it. I got my own clip and put them on the front buckle. Kind of a noisy jingle when walking (when it annoys me I tuck it behind the strap so it's not hanging, sometimes it stays, sometimes it doesn't) but it's handy to have them right out front when I'm needing to unlock my car ??‍♀️.Bottom line, I would recommend and buy again. I love all the colors/patterns and it was hard to pick just one!Love the look, colours & design of this bag. It also comes with 1 zip up inside compartment & 2 outside ones which is great for the smaller items such as iPhones & keys etc. The strap is definitely a selling feature of this bag... great quality, very comfortable & unique. Gave it a 4 Star rating because the bag is smaller than expected which I based on the Seller’s photo showing it up against a man’s back. It’s the Rope Sling - which is a completely different material. I was hoping for the Pack, but I like the pattern enough to keep this one. Great size and a true Kavu.The bag itself is amazing but definitely misleading color. The color bag they sent me is super ugly vs the bag they advertised. The advertised bag is on the left and what they actually sent is on the right.
