I bought my mom this purse and matching wallet for her birthday and she loves it. I love the kavu sling bags and had gifted her the original sling bag which she liked but likes this one more. Noted it’s much more lightweight but can hold quite a bit. Makes me want to buy one for myself!Good bag; seems to handle wet weather well. Understand what another reviewer mentioned about the buckle being uncomfortable at times, but easily adjusted. Pattern a little bright for me, but I needed a new bag when supplies were limited. I don't purse-hop, but would keep an eye out for same bag in another pattern.Love this design !!Same great design as my previous model, but the quality of the materials is obviously cheaper than my previous model. It's thinner, and the strap material is actually too thin and slippery to stay on your shoulder. I actually had to poach the strap off of my old bag and sew it onto the new one. If I couldn't have switched the strap out, I wouldn't have kept the bag because I don't always want to wear it like a crossbody; sometimes I like to shorten the strap all the way and just sling it on my shoulder. The nylon of the bag itself is also obviously thinner than my previous bag, and the zipper pull on this one is just the metal zipper, whereas my old bag also had a nice thick piece of nylon webbing sewed onto the zipper pull, which made for less fumbling. Time will tell if this one holds up as well as the last. Not sure why they broke something that didn't need fixing.As far as the rest of the bag goes, this is a deceptively roomy bag. There is enough room for my wallet, a water bottle, my bible, and several other items in the main pocket. There is also an inside zipper pocket which fits several pens, lip balm, gum, etc. The two small internal pouches are kind of useless b/c they're just not deep enough; things pop out if the bag tips over. The back zipper is where I like to keep my keys and tuck my phone, as well as clip my knife. The big front zipper is the best. I stash so much stuff in there: a 6 ft. phone charger, Bluetooth headphones, coupon book, bottle of Tylenol, tampons, packet of tissues, dental floss, and hand lotion, and it still looks smooth and low-profile when it's zipped up. This is my personal Mary Poppins bag. It looks nice and you'll never guess how much stuff I have crammed inside.I love this bag! I've been using it for years in a different pattern, and that one is just starting to see some wear after plenty of travel and misuse. It took me a few months to find a replacement in a pattern I liked as much as my original, but this wins. The size is don't enough you can stick a LOT of stuff in there off you have to (Kindle, water bottle, large wallet, bag of what-ifs, phone charger, a little shopping, etc.)...so much it gets heavy. Daily, I pare it down and stuff it inside my backpack for work. The polyester shell is durable and doesn't wrinkle. It's even a bit water resistant. I'll always come back to this bag for my everyday purse as long as KAVU keeps making it.I have a few KAVU bags, and this is one of my favorites. The bag is made from a soft polyester blend material and is not made from the traditional KAVU canvas fabric. I Like the polyester fabric better because it stays cleaner and seems to hold up better than the canvas. The topography design is really cute, and I love how many pockets this bag has. There is one big pocket on the front that is really convenient for keys and stuff you need easy access to and a pocket in the back that is perfect for keeping your phone. My only complaint about this bag is that the adjustable strap has a metal clip that sits right on top of my shoulder when the bag is adjusted to the length I want. It can be a little uncomfortable because of that, only when the metal clip rubs on my shoulder. I just keep the strap adjusted to be a little longer to avoid this issue. The strap also has an end piece folded over where the metal clip is, and the ends of the strap are a little rough feeling- they get caught on my shirt every so often. This is a wonderful KAVU bag, but the rope straps on other bags are definitely more comfortable than this strap, in my opinion. Other than that, I have no complaints! This is a great bag that I love to carry.Overall a good bag. I'm a fan of outdoor style handbags and have used Overland Bags for a lot of years. However, they went out of business recently and I needed a new bag. So, I gave this a shot. I like the size and shape. The zipper grabs are a little on the small side, they could use a added cloth zipper pull in my opinion. I could use some better internal organization in the outer zipper bag (for phone, pens, keys etc). I think Kavu has made a good bag, but if they just took it one step farther it would be a great bag. For now, I'm happy with it but will keep looking for my new perfect handbag.Great bags! I love this one. Seems more durable than their canvas bags. Only negative is that the print is upside down for most of the bag.This was ok. Felt cheap and don't hold any sort of shape like the ones I saw in the store. Strap hurt my neck. Didn't use it for long.
