Boy was this leather nice. Very, very soft and smooth. I wanted to keep this purse so badly. It does hold quite a bit, but I needed just a tad more room. The pocket on the outside unfortunately doesn't fit my phone well. You have to put it in vertically and it sticks up too much. I was worried about the purse tipping and some of my smaller items falling out also since there is no zipper. It is made very nice though. Definitely has the quality. I like a lot of Sak handbags, but I don't buy some of them because their straps are not leather and printed polyester or some other material. It cheapens the purse. The strap was all leather. I wanted the Silverlake handbag so bad, but the handle did me in.
