I was in the market for a sling. I thoroughly did my research, I watched dozens upon dozens of youtube videos on Carryology, EDC bags, Slings, men's bags, etc. There was a whole lot of selections, surprisingly. Money was not really an issue, I make ok salary and if I was going to spend good $$ on a bag, I was going to make sure it was of good quality that was going to last me a long long time, not something that was going to come apart if I yell at it. I also did not want a bag that was too preppy, too expensive and look too designer, I wanted it to be rugged, to look tough.Enter DEFY Bags.I first heard of Defy bags trough Carryology. They where talking about their 10 best slings I believe, when they showed the Insidious sling. I INSTANTLY spilled my water as I saw the Cobra buckle. I KNEW this had to be the bag of my dreams.The insidious bag was different. It looked like no other sling. It has it's own personality. Modern, with a touch of tactical, yet not too much. It is a remix of all good things. One look at the bag, and you can Def tell that the bag is going to last you a long, LONG time. That is exactly what I was looking for.I then decided to look at the Defy website. I was NOT disappointed! All of their products, bags and all, are products that are exactly what I was in search for, for a long time. As I read through a couple of their bags and accessories, Defy's story and brand, I then decided to give it a shot, and puled the trigger on February. Since I have been the proud owner of a Insidious sling, I have decided to purchase 3 more defy bags since then. I now have a collection that I'm very proud of, and each and every bag is special in my collection.The bags are heavy, they are going to stand the test of time. I know that If I place my Razer laptop inside a Defy bag, I can feel safe and protected, knowing that my laptop is covered by some of the best, toughest, ballistic material that is known to man. I'm not saying the material IS the best known to man, but it is ONE of thee best materials.Everywhere I have gone with my bags, I get stopped and complimented and/or asked on what type of bag I'm carrying. Defy is not a brand that is widely known like a Louis or Gucci or other massed produced designer bag, and I kind of like that. I know If I wear my bag somewhere, I'm not going to see someone else with the same exact bag. It can happen of course, but chances are far less than that of a known name. I also really like that Defy does not mass produce their products. Each one is painstakingly created by people, by hand, that took xxx amount of hours to put together. I can enjoy my bag knowing it was not put together by a machine that had done 10,000 bags that week of the same kind. I'm carrying something that was beautifully inspired, meticulously put together, and gorgeously crafted, built, and packed with 2 hands from a person that probably packed 15 that day and maybe more or maybe less, but at least it is not the 4,187th bag packed from assembly line A.In conclusion, this is a bag that you are REALLY going to love and appreciate. you are going to unpack it. You are going to smell it. You are going to pick it up, up above your head, toss it around, turn it around, open it all the way, slip your hands inside of the bag and feel the material. You are going to visualize your things inside of it BEFORE you put your things inside of it. This is the beautiful process of picking out the right bag and discovering that you have chosen the RIGHT bag and it is now inside your home and holding it, before SNAP!, the sound of the Cobra buckle snapping as you test out the sling arm across your chest and appreciating the workmanship as the Defy bag wraps it's arm around you, holding your chest across your heart and making you feel proud that the hard earned money you just dropped on this bag, was all but worth it. You look at yourself on that mirror with your bag on and say, "Damn, this bag is the shhhh**t! You have been shopping for weeks, months for that exact moment you bond with your bag.Thank you Defy but not for just creating a bag, nor just for a product, no.
