The best part of these is definitely the sizes. There are 4 of the snack bag sizes and 6 of the sandwich bag sizes. The zippers seal cleanly and the double seal on the edges makes them watertight. I think they'll work perfectly for school lunches.However, a big downside is that these are not safe in the dishwasher or even in hot water. I have an instant hot water dispenser that I use for cleaning often and just a few seconds of the hot water was enough to distort the shape of the bag. Unfortunately that means these need to be hand washed in cool water and that makes them less useable for my busy family. Of they could just fix that, these would be the perfect reusable bagsI really like these. Especially for the kids snacks that I want separated in their lunch boxes. I use the bigger ones to store veg and seasoned meat for the week. Then wash them and reuse them. They are quite durable.For years I have used cheap plastic sandwich bags and repurposed bags from supermarket products to transport and store food. Why pay for something available cheaply or free?The answer is these are much higher quality. They don't tear fall open. They zip easily and securely. They're easy to rinse out, or clean thoroughly if necessary.I find these very handy for storing leftovers, bringing food to eat at work or play, bringing liquids on airplanes, and generally packing and storing.I use ziplock bags all the time but could not get used to these bags at all. They pop open with a basic shake and everything comes out. That doesn't happen with ziplocks. These might be OK to hold a sandwich.I'm personally tired of throwing away bags and would love to work with my kids on helping us reduce our carbon footprint. I'm enjoying using these sandwich and snack bags. The material is thick, easy to take back and forth in lunches, put in the refrigerator for left-overs and can even be frozen.These bags are great for refrigerator and freezer storage - much like a zip lock bag.Unlike zip locks, however, these last forever. Similar to Tupperware, you can continue to reuse them and even wash them between uses. Unlike Tupperware, they don't require a separate lid, so you won't constantly be wondering where your lids go. (By the way, you can find your lost lids in the same place as your lost socks).
