First, these are the perfect size for me. Second, they don't leak or decompose with wet vegetable matter, coffee grounds, etc. When I first used them, I deliberately let the wet stuff sit in them for as long as possible just to test them out. I have used other compostable bags that I could not trust at all, particularly when I lived in an apartment where I had to carry them down several flights of carpeted steps. They would always leak and drip. These do not.I used to buy compostable bags at the grocery store, but they only had two sizes: so tiny I don't know what you'd use them for, or so giant that they were wasteful. And they leaked. Now they don't even carry them anymore so I had to look on amazon. These are the perfect size. I use a trash can that's small enough to put under the kitchen sink. It's smaller than a tall kitchen trash can. Happy I found these.
