These bags successfully hold the trash that I put in them. When I put them into separately purchased trash can, they provide an excellent barrier between garbage and can. My only critique would be the lack of drawstring tie on the bags themselves which makes it difficulty to tie up. The bags have not torn or had holes very often, only really having issue when they are too full. There are also enough bags that one day when I die, I can pass these on to my children as part of their inheritance. I would buy them again if it were ever possible to run out of them.
